Informatics Association of Turkey Awards DOSIMM

DOSIMM developed an application for the promotion of Chora Museum which can be downloaded to smart phones and tablets. The Virtual Museum application which can be downloaded from the App Store as of 1 September 2012, offers a 3D virtual museum visit through a 3D-model of the Chora museum, as well as high-resolution visuals of the mosaics. The application also includes information about the history of the Chora museum and the contents of mosaics, and a timeline of the history of the museum.
This application received the Special Jury Award at the Informatics 2012 Service Awards as part of the 29th National Informatics Conference held in ankara on 21-23 November 2012. The award was presented to Murat Usta, the General Manager of DOSIMM by Nihat Ergün, the Minister of Science and Technology.
The Chora Museum application also ranked as a world finalist among the top five out of 350.000 projects at the Unity Conference in the category of “Best Non-Game”.
